The Art Of Observation

I have altered the following images in some form using Photoshop as I have yet to get my head around Illustrator. The point being that these are drafts of what I would like to produce in another, more physical form. I may alter my project now to base the work entirely on the reaction of the public which may lead me to physically producing work then recording the reactions of the viewer.

Above the image has a pink bird on the mast.
Obvious colour change
Telephone box in water.
Grayscale 3D edit.
Layered, again obvious change, I like the stark contrast in this one, I may experiment with this idea further to produce a morre seamless image.
Embossed image. I like the idea of touch with embossed images, allowing an audience to feel the work. It reminds me of an installation piece in the National Modern Art Gallery in Rome, four paintings; Linea Angolare, Grande Rosso P18, Nello Specchio and Un rilesso vuodelta. The paintings were projected on to a screen, the viewer used a pad to select one leading to a blank wall then the viewer would touch an embossed image in front of them leading to the image being visually and musically re-created on the projection. It was good fun to discover the images through sound and touch creating a soundtrack for the originals. I wouldn't want to recreate it myself because I view that as cheating, but it is something I think galleries should experiment with especially for the blind and children.
